Thuro Snowboarding: Capita 2016 Snowboards Now Available!

The new Capita 2016 Snowboard lines are now here at Thuro Shop! Capita is known for making high quality snowboards to meet the demands of the progressive snowboarder while at the same time being environmentally friendly.

   

Each Capita board has new tech features added. 

Nano-Carbon Forks: 

• Nano-Carbon technologies have been developed on an atomic level for applications ranging from Superyachts to Aerospace to Outer Space. Engineered with high performance Matrix Resin, these pressure molded 30mm forks have a compressive strength 25% higher than the already incredible pre-cured carbon boosters.

Pre-Cured Basalt Boosters:

 

• Originating from solidified volcanic lava, basalt is an abundant resource long known for it’s thermal properties, strength, and durability. When carefully oriented into the board, this natural material helps you increase power and pop while creating a damp, calm ride. Capita pre-cured this into an arched shape that counters the board's camber profile. This counter acting configuration multiplies the energy when the board is flexed and creates a board with twice the ollie power and response than a board with standard Basalt additives.

Carbon:

 

• Known for its rigidity, high tensile strength, low weight, high temperature tolerance, and low thermal expansion, carbon fiber is one of the most popular materials used in today’s high performance applications. This lightweight, strong material, when moulded into a snowboard, increases power and response while remaining ultralight.

Kevlar/Titanal Body Armor:

 

• Kevlar is an organic fiber featuring high strength, toughness and thermal stability that shows no embrittlement or degradation at sub-zero temperatures. Applied to the shoulders of the Ultrafear along with high compression strength Titanal alloy thorough the centerline, this BODY ARMOR™ takes the durability and dependability of the Ultrafear to the next level.

Titanal Struts:

 

• Titanal is a high strength hardened aluminum wrought alloy with excellent compression strength to weight ratios. A perfect top core structural reinforcement, these 20mm TITANAL STRUTS resist longitudinal compression contributing more power to these popular, easy to ride models.

Capita also made custom camber lines for every model. Camber has evolved a lot and each camber is designed to maximize performance and enjoyment on each board.

Hybrid FK: 

This all new freestyle camber configuration zeros out a traditional camber approach 4cm before the end of the sidecut. The small zero camber sections provide a more controlled ride while retaining the response and power of a cambered board.

Freestyle FK:

Dual reverse camber FK freestyle shape. Flat based from outer insert to outer insert provides stability at high speeds on groomed runs. Elevated contact points turn on a dime and float effortlessly while stomping in powder.

Zero Camber: 

Flat camber from contact point to contact point provides a slightly looser, easier to ride feel, without reducing the effective edge that results from full rocker shapes.

New Age Camber:
