Inline skating is one of the most versatile, unique sports to-date and a fantastic way to stay in shape. But one of the primary concerns of inline skaters, regardless of skill level, is how to brake quickly and efficiently. The most tried and true method is using a brake pad. This is arguably the easiest, safest way to brake and the preferred braking method for many advanced skaters (other breaking methods often wear out wheels faster and are riskier at higher speeds). We recommend purchasing multiple replacement brake pads so that no matter how far or fast you are skating, you will always have a back up.
