That sounds pretty straightforward, but our team had to put in a ton of legwork (literally, and figuratively) to perfect this system. Most e-boards depend on friction to slow you down, which can be inconsistent and jerky, as well as prone to wear and tear. It’s also why you can’t ride on a dead battery- but not so with the M1! And instead of having separate braking controls, our RFLX Remote allows you to manage your speed with a single intuitive motion.

While many boards are designed around a spring-loaded deck, we take a different approach with a focus on stability at speed.  This works perfectly with a stiffer, CNC wood core deck which increases the response and feedback of the board under feet. This stiffness allows riders to have more direct input into the board when maneuvering or avoiding potential hazards.

It seems obvious, but with a large percentage of our customers commuting in the morning and evening, being seen in low light situations is critical to a safe ride. The Inboard M1 is the only board with built-in head and brake/tail lights, making it easy to spot obstacles and be seen by other road users.  In many regions, riding without lights is illegal. Inboard has built this into the design of the M1 with no extra parts or add ons necessary.
